The 1978 Ford Capri 3.0S as driven by Lewis Collins as Bodie, one of the stars of the hit TV show The Professionals. The recently restored car has only 77,300 miles on the clock. Inside you’ll find the iconic fishnet Recaro interior, whilst under the bonnet the 3.0 V6 Essex engine could produce up to 136 bhp. The car, bearing the number plate VHK 495S was featured in seven episodes wearing the plate U00 303T. The car was sold by H&H Classic at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, and beat the record held by the 936 miles Brooklands Capri which sold in February for £54,000.
Another Capri also sold at auction – Minder’s MK2 Capri from the opening credits, but didn’t meet the predicted amount of between £65,000 and £85,000, and sold for only £52,500. Also sold at auction was Nigel Mansell’s 1984 Audi Quattro, and Price Philips 1954 Aston Martin Lagonda for £350,000.
Whilst the Capri isn’t available from us here at Motorparks, you can find our full range of Ford’s here
