Grange Jaguar were honoured to play a part in helping raise funds on the Billy Dove Memorial Family Fun Day – in memory of Billy Dove who was tragically murdered.
On behalf of The Billy Dove Memorial Fund, Lucy & Jodie Grillo said:
On 26th August we held The Billy Dove Memorial Family Fun Day in memory of Billy Dove, who was tragically murdered at 21 due to knife crime. You will recall you kindly donated a fantastic prize of 2 tickets for a Jaguar track day for our silent auction. I wanted to thank you for your kind donation and to let you know that you helped us raise an overwhelming amount of money in Billy’s memory. We do not know the exact figure at this stage as we are still waiting for final sums to come in; however we anticipate we have raised between £10-11k.
This is amazing and we cannot thank you enough for playing part of this. The day was a huge success and heavily supported by the Hemel Hempstead Community. Brooke Kinsella MBE, actress and patron of The Ben Kinsella Trust came and opened the day which involved fun for all the family and a 5 a side football tournament which saw 16 teams take part.
The Billy Dove Memorial Fund committee are now looking at how best to use all of the money we have raised and one of the areas we plan to get involved in is making donations to youth schemes and community activities for young people, in Hemel Hempstead.
Once again, many thanks for responding to my original letter and making a donation. Without your donation our day would not have been the success it was. I hope to be in touch in the future with news of any future events we are planning.
Grange Jaguar wish all the best to Billy’s family and were proud to have made a small contribution to the community.
