The Ford EcoSport has been Ford’s first foray into the Compact crossover market and so far it’s been an incredible success. The compact crossover sector is full of small SUVs from different manufacturers, the market has been driven by consumers looking for that unique high driving position in a rugged yet stylish vehicle that is still easy to manoeuvre around town. And for the most part all the major manufacturers have all responded with a small compact SUV offering.
In an ever competitive market Ford have responded by further tweaking the Ford , bringing a very well equipped car to the market to attract further buyers into a new EcoSport.
The all new Ford EcoSport Titanium S has been added to the range, adding a new trim level and powerful 3 cylinder engine to the range. The engine is taken directly from the Fiesta Red & Black Editions, with its 138bhp and 180Nm it’s a punchy enthusiastic engine that can take the EcoSport from 0-62mph in little over 11 seconds. Even with all this extra grunt Ford claim the EcoSport will still do upto 52.3mpg.
The Titanium S has had it’s handling improved, sports suspension and a 10mm lower rider height have helped to improve handling with sharper more precise steering feedback.
The exterior of the EcoSport Titanium S has had some stylish tweeks, black wheels and black roof give the vehicle an elevated sense of purpose and style. The interior of the Titanium S adds the piano black trim to the centre console and door handles. Sony DAB radio and navigation are also available on the EcoSport.
Passenger space remains unchanged, the EcoSport can comfortably accommodate two tall passengers in the rear of the car. The boot is a decent 333 litres giving it more boot space than a Ford Focus.
Standard equipment on the EcoSport Titanium S will include 17″ alloys, Sony DAB radio, part leather, cruise control, climate control, keyless go, auto headlights, wipers and privacy glass.
