Mazda have announced that the fourth generation of its popular roadster will start from £18,495 with orders opening this April.
The new Mazda MX-5 is one of this years most anticipated vehicles following the success and popularity of the previous generations. The Japanese roadster will be available to order this month.
New engines and specifications will be available at launch and there will be a choice of seven colours. Prices start at £18,495 for the base SE spec featuring a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 129bhp and 139g/km of CO2. The base spec includes LED headlights, 16-inch alloys, a leather steering wheel, electric heated mirrors and air-conditioning. Customers can upgrade to the SE-L specification for an extra £740, adding daytime running lights, climate control, Bluetooth and a seven-inch touchscreen as well as DAB audio.
The new Mazda MX-5 can also be purchased with a 2.0-litre engine. The 159bhp 2.0-litre SKYACTIV petrol engine offers an increase in power, 17-inch Gunmetal alloys, a limited-slip differential, black door mirrors and a strut brace for those willing to pay the £20,995 asking price. The 2.0-litre model can be upgraded with a touchscreen navigation unit for an extra £600.
For £22,695 the top of the range Sport comes with Bilsten dampers, adaptive auto lights and wipers, parking sensors, keyless entry, lane departure warning and a premium Bose sound system.
