Vauxhall have been busy overhauling their car range this year with a new Corsa already out and the new Astra on the way. There are rumours that a new Mokka and Insignia are in production but this has not yet been confirmed.
Next to be overhauled is popular MPV the Meriva. After a small facelift last year, the new Meriva will have a complete overhaul to bring it into the small SUV crossover segment, rather than a mini MPV.
The new Meriva is set to be the first in the Vauxhall range to take advantage of Vauxhall’s new agreement with PSA Peugeot Citroen which sees the companies share 50:50 development costs towards their 2016 MPVs.
The Meriva spy shots show a new higher ride height and Vauxhall’s distinctive tick-shaped daytime running lights, similar to the new Astra that releases later this year. Although not much else can be seen past the camouflage disguise, Auto Express have put together a mock-up of how the new Meriva might look.
