The new Vauxhall Corsa arrived in showrooms early this year following an extremely successful eight years as one of the UK’s best selling cars. Vauxhall have the Ford Fiesta firmly in their sights and are hoping that the new look Corsa will continue on from its much loved predecessor.
Leading the list of changes are the new exterior panels providing a fresh new look and following Vauxhall’s new ‘kinetic’ design philosophy as seen on the GTC. Touch screen infotainment system Intellilink is the centre piece of the new look interior which offers high quality plastics and a much needed update over the previous Corsa.
Under the bonnet, new engines and transmissions are available. Leading the charge from Vauxhall’s new powertrain offensive is the 1.0-litre three-cylinder ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo petrol engine, alongside a much improved 1.3 CDTi diesel engine, which meets Euro-6 regulations.
The new engines will be complimented by the re-designed chassis, with no components carried over from the previous model. Emphasis on exceptional rolling refinement, ride quality, precise handling and stability push the driveability to class-leading standards.
