Following the leaked spy shots Vauxhall have now released photos of the new Fourth-Generation Corsa.
The exterior has undergone a facelift to bring it more in line with rival models, taking design cues from other models in the Vauxhall line up such as the Adam, Cascada and Meriva. For example, the grill is inspired by the Adam and features the same distinct Vauxhall Bar that is also featured on the new shape Meriva and Vivaro and the front fog lights mimic the Cascada.
Inspiration from other models continues on the inside. The dashboard has been completely redesigned with all new panels and trim. The dials behind the steering wheel are similar to the new Insignia while the centre console features the Intellilink system made popular by the Adam. Intellilink allows drivers to connect to their car using an iPhone or Android device, opening doors for sat nav, Bluetooth and Siri hands free.
Under the bonnet there are new engines such as the new 1.0-litre, three-cylinder ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo or a much improved 1.3 CDTi engine. These new engines are complimented by advances in handling; a re-designed chassis with no carry-over componentry shows Vauxhall’s focus on exceptional refinement and ride quality.
As the Corsa enters its fourth generation it continues to be a class leader in its segment. More details on Corsa specifications will be revealed later this year. We can reveal that Side Blindspot Alert, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, bi-xenon lights and a rear-view camera will be available for buyers to choose from.
More details and pricing to be revealed late 2014.
