After just one month in the UK and 12 years after the original XC90 took the title, the all-new Volvo XC90 has been named Car of the Year 2015 and Large SUV of the Year category winner at this year’s Auto Express New Car Awards 2015
Volvo Cars’ award-winning XC90 has already made its presence known by almost selling out its entire first year’s planned production run of 50,000 cars. To date over 44,100 cars have been ordered, with over 4,000 in the UK alone.
Now Volvo plan to revamp its product range redesigning a whole list of new cars and even adding a few to the list! Volvo say it will have seven new or redesigned vehicles by the end of 2017. The XC90 crossover that went on sale this spring was the first. Also with a whole host of newly designed 4 cylinder engines. S40, XC40, V40: The S40 was discontinued in 2011 but the estate equivalent, the V40 was was redesigned as a hatchback and only sold in Europe where it has been a massive success. Volvo hints of newer model and reinstating the S40 as a small saloon to rival the likes of the BMW 1 series to go along side.
The XC40 is expected in 2018 in Europe, and is planned to be a small compact SUV, perhaps to go up against the likes of a BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the Revamped V40 and New S80 are also expected in 2018 but designs have not been released yet
V60: The V60, will be redesigned in 2018. The taller Cross Country variant will be redesigned in 2018 or 2019.

The S90 will be filled with infotainment and connectivity features as well as upgraded trim to compete with the large German sedans. Styling will be modernized, taking cues from the Concept Coupe. There may be a coupe derivative called the C90
V90: The full-size wagon will also debut by the end of 2016
XC90: Finally the new XC90 is set to get a face-lift late 2018
