- The new buyer is recommended against using the car, which is a world record breaker, in bad weather
The world record breaking ‘Hairiest Car in the World’ is being auctioned after an Italian designer spent 20 days and £75,000 covering it in human hair.
The car was added to the Guinness Book of Records in 2010 and, despite carrying an extra 100kg of hair, is still able to drive on the road.
Stylist Maria Lucia Mugno disinfected, washed, bleached and dyed the hair before attacing it to the car.
‘The record has been certified both times by the Guinness Book of World Records.
‘The car is perfectly running but we do not recommend the use on rainy days.’
Although, buyers, who will have to spend more than £100,000 to buy the car will have to travel to Salerno to pick it up!
Surprisingly, the small Fiat 500 is still road legal and can fly around the Italian streets despite its unusual coating
