One of the original bedroom wall poster cars, the all-new 3rd generation GT supercar will feature in this weekends 6 Hours of Silverstone endurance race. For a lucky few, they didn’t have to wait until the weekend to get their first glimpse of the 600BHP racer, as it completed the slowest ever lap of the country’s most famous race track. Well, when we say a lap, it actually covered the same layout of the circuit but through the streets of London on the back of clear walled truck. The famous Hangar Straight was replaced with Tower Bridge, Maggots, Becketts and Chapel became a dash around Shoreditch and Southwark Tube station made a make shift start/finish straight.

The order books have now opened for the first 500 Ford GT’s, all equipped with Ford’s incredible 600bhp 3.5l EcoBoost power unit. Tickets are available for the 6 Hours of Silverstone FIA World Endurance Championship¬†6 Hours of Silverstone
