It has finally come and been announced that in spring time next year the NSX will upon us.
The NSX is the Honda’s hybrid super car, drives all four wheels and is connected to an all-new nine speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, that comes with a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 500 bhp V6 engine and three electric motors, one mounted between the engine and gear box and the other 2 are on the front axle each driving an individual wheel, that offer a combined power output of 573 bhp and it is the second generation, it’s last predecessor was launched 25 years ago.
The NSX will have four switch-able chassis modes: Quiet, Sport, Sport+ and Track.
Top speed is rated at 191 mph, 0-62 mph in 2.9 sec.
the full details of the equipment on the NSX have not yet been revealed but Honda have confirmed it will come with a set of leather and alcantara-clad sports seats and nine-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
For pricing you can expect it to compete along the performance level of the Ferrari 458 Italia but will be a lot cheaper and priced around the same as the Audi R8, £93,735 – £126,835. Like the old NSX as that was compared on performance with the Ferrari 348.
We could see a convertible or a higher powered output version of the NSX but these have not been officially announced.
