What’s better: Mazda MX-5 VS Toyota GT 86 ………

It seems to be that the Japanese love their small sports cars, including the 4 large companies, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan and Honda, have all developed rear-drive sports cars through out the years. Mazda became part of it back in 1988 when they bought out the MX-5.

The Mazda MX-5 has a lot of followers that love the manageable car that comes in a great value package that is the MX-5.

Toyota have also bought out a car that caters for people wanting a friendly sports car with budget thrills, like its 2000 GT from back in the sixties.

So what we are looking at here is whether which of these two friendly sport cars is the better option. Even though, yes, they look very different, ones a coupé and the others a roadster but both under the skin  they are revvy, rear-drive chassis and both feel sporty behind the wheel.

As we know there are two engine options for the MX-5 the 1.5 litre or the 2.0 litre, the toyota has a 2.0 litre also.

1st Place: Mazda MX-5

The 2015 MX-5 is leaner, meaner and faster than ever. with it’s agile chassis and punchy engine deliver driving thrills that come close to some hardcore track models. The MX-5 have a roomy cockpit, a long list of kit that famed Japanese reliability and is a convertible that people would love to have on a daily basis.

2nd Place: Toyota GT 86

The GT 86 is also a great handling car and is also as reliable as the MX-5 but it doesn’t quite have the all-round performance as the MX-5 does and also costs more and the running costs.
