The facelifted Ford Kuga has been officially revealed, featuring new ‘Edge’ like looks, infotainment system and diesel engines. From the outside, the main change is the new bonnet, which is designed to increase pedestrian safety if an accident was unfortunate enough to happen. New self-adjusting bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights and fog lamps have all been fitted whilst at the back the lights have also been designed. A clever self retracting tow bar has been added, in addition to a tail gate which closes when the bottom of the car is given a tap. A choice of 17, 18 and 19″ alloy wheels will also be available.
On the inside, the new Kuga will feature Ford’s brand new Sync 3 infotainment system. The excellent new system is controlled from a 8″ touch screen and is compatible with Apple’s CarPlay and Android’s auto functionality. The system also provides better voice control. If the driver says “I need a coffee,” the nearest shops will be located.
Along with the styling changes, there are big changes under the bonnet. A new 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine will be available in front wheel format, returning a staggering 64.2mpg. For a bit more power, a 2.0-litre TDCi diesel unit with 150bhp can be fitted in both 2 and 4 wheel drive, on top of a 180bhp engine in just all wheel drive. The Kuga will not just be limited to diesel, a 1.5 petrol engine with either 120, 150 or 182bhp will be an option. The later only being available in all-wheel drive format.
We are expecting the new car to hit UK showrooms in October, but if you can’t wait till then, take a look at our fantastic current offers here;http://ow.ly/YHiul
