Ford Motor Company have announced that over 9300 people registered online to be in with a chance of pre-ordering one of the first 500 new Ford Mustangs to be released in Europe during May’s UEFA Champions League Final.
In total more than 9300 people from across Europe registered their interest online. The first 500 registrations came just 30 seconds into the UEFA Champions League Final match between Real Madrid CF and Club Atletico de Mardrid.
The first 500 new Mustangs were allocated across 20 European countries. Ford will be contacting the first 500 lucky applicants to let them know of there application success in the next few weeks. The lucky applicants will then be invited to complete their order later this year.
The first 500 models available will feature a special package. The fastback will be available in Race red and the convertible model in Magnetic Silver; features will include SYNC 2 connectivity and satellite navigation, black leather trim, heated and air cooled seats, park assist, chrome exterior trim and and 19″ alloy wheels.
Customers will have a choice of the 2.3 litre EcoBoost Engine or the 5.0 litre V8 engine. Click here for a full breakdown of the new Ford Mustang specifications .
