A look at some current and future concepts for Jeep:
The Chief is a new surf themed Jeep that has Hawaiian pattern fabric and a Tiki head on the gear stick. It has 1970’s Cherokee styling with a Wrangler Unlimited under the bonnet.
The Jeep Staff Car is a tribute to Jeeps role in Americas military history from its origins in WWII. It has the same Pentastar V6 that the Chief has as well as military spec Jeep J8 parts like the bumpers, black out lamps (above the front wings) and a rear mounted spare.
The Wrangler Red Rock Responder is Jeeps version of an off-road first responder vehicle. It has Dana 60 axle’s front and rear, prototype rock rails and a Warn winch.
The Grand Cherokee Overlander has a very simple idea to it. Drive to a remote location undo some latches and unfold a ladder. That’s it; you’re ready for a good night’s sleep. It also comes with EcoDiesel power and better air suspension.
For the future there is the Jeep Treo. It first appeared at the Tokyo Motor show 12 years ago, but is making a return to the concept scene mostly due to the popularity of small urban vehicles.
