We have been lead to believe that the all-new Ford Fiesta expected early next year will only be available as a 5 door. The latest spy shots show the little hatchback in 3 door form, dispelling the long lasting rumours. As to previous spy shots, the car is still very well disguised with only a few exterior differences noticeable. The new model will feature a more angular Focus style front grille, and a much wider track.
There is still no word from Ford as what will power the new Fiesta but with the success and developments the blue oval are making with their EcoBoost engines, it seems inevitable that there will be a wide selection of small 3 and 4 cylinder turbo charged power units. We are also expecting a similar 1.6 engine to fit in the new Fiesta ST. Ford still haven’t released as official launch date for the new Fiesta but we are expecting to see them either late in 2016 or moving in 2017.
