New Fiesta to chase a premium feel

Reader Test team Ford Fiesta ST Used on the web only August 2012

Expected either late this year or early next, the new Ford Fiesta will be chasing a higher premium feel, with a high quality interior and mature looks. The new car chassis is based on the current 6th generation Fiesta and the upcoming KA Plus; which we are expecting next month and can be pre-ordered here at Dees of Wimbledon.  The 7th generation Fiesta will be a very similar size to the current model, allowing it to sit in Ford’s Global B platform, alongside the new KA Plus.

Inside the cabin, the new car will be focusing on a much more spacious and airy feel, and it seems almost certain the current dashboard will be completely remodeled as an attempt to bridge the gap up to VW etc interior quality. Under the bonnet, we are expecting the car to be available with the award winning 1.0 EcoBoost petrol engines, in all 3 different power outputs and a 1.5TDCi diesel unit, all with a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes.

As the current Fiesta makes up a third of European new car registrations and has been the best selling new car for over a year, Ford has the perfect platform to base the new model on. By only making subtle changes, Ford aim to keep hold of their current customers whilst still attracting new buyers with a great looking little hatchback.

We think the new car looks great and with not to long to go before it hits our showrooms, we currently have some fantastic new and used offers on the current model. Take a look here and book yourself a test drive; Dees of Wimbledon, Fiesta New and Used
