ST-Line versions of the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus are about to join the range. The ST-Line models will have the all the looks of an ST but under the bonnet the emphasis will be on efficiency and not all out performance.
The Fiesta and Focus ST-Line with their modest power output will be in a lower road fund bracket (low road tax), a lower insurance group and will of course return better fuel economy than an ST. This will open up the ST-Line to a wider ranger of consumers.
Both the Fiesta ST-Line and Focus ST-Line will feature a sports suspension setup for improved road handling, a unique alloy wheel design, an external body kit that mirrors the look of the ST. Inside the ST-Line’s will be a sports steering wheel, alloy pedals and sports bucket seats. In addition the exterior will include and a lip spoiler and rear diffuser as well as that distinctive ST honeycomb grill.
The Fiesta ST-Line will be offered with the 99bhp or 123bhp 1.0 EcoBoost Engine, or the 138bhp EcoBoost for those looking for a little more performance. You can also get the Fiesta ST-Line with the 1.5 TDCi for those who favour a diesel, CO2 emissions come in at 94g/km. The Fiesta ST-Line will be available in 3 door and 5 door variants with prices starting at £15,645.
The Focus ST-Line gets a choice of two diesel powerplants, the 118bhp 1.5 TDCi or the 147bhp 2.0 TDCi for those who want more power. Petrol engines will be available with a range of bhp outputs between 123bhp and 180bhp. The Focus ST-Line will be available as 5 door hatchback and an estate and will prices will be from £20,595.
