In a duel move by the government new grants and subsidies are being introduced that it is hoped will fast forward the uptake of electric cars in the UK.
The first is a grant towards a new electric vehicle of upto £4,500, you can find out more details here: https://www.gov.uk/plug-in-car-van-grants/what-youll-get it even covers upto £8,000 for an electric van for business purposes.
The second is subsidy that they plan to introduce during the summer that will cover some of the costs for a business that wants to install and electric charging point. This has been seen as a key issue that has slowed the uptake of electric vehicles, especially for those with longer journeys.
There is a downside to this though as it is thought that the government will introduce new taxes for diesel cars.
Why not have a look at some of our cars that qualify for the grant?
